Dr. Michal Fisher
Dr. Michal Fisher is a licensed patent attorney since 2004, Israel Patent and Trademark Office. She is also Adjunct Faculty, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Israel – Graduate course in Patent Law and Practice.
Dr. Fisher specializes in the strategic management of intellectual property portfolios, patent and trademark drafting and prosecution, infringement analysis, patentability analysis, validity and freedom to operate opinions, also patent oppositions, portfolio evaluations, clearance opinions, client pre-investment due diligence, and litigation support.
Dr. Fisher holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry (Cum Laude) from Tel Aviv University and an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Physical and Analytical Chemistry from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Prior to establishing the Fisher IP Group, Dr. Fisher was a senior partner at Webb & Co. Patent Attorneys.
Dr. Nathalie Friedman
Dr. Nathalie Friedman is a licensed patent attorney since 2013, Israel Patent and Trademark Office. She specializes in patent drafting and prosecution, infringement analysis, patentability analysis, validity and freedom to operate opinions.
Dr. Friedman received her B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Molecular Biology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prior to establishing the Fisher IP Group, Dr. Friedman worked as a patent attorney at Webb & Co. Patent Attorneys.
Dr. Irit Gordon
Senior Patent Attorney
Dr. Irit Gordon is both a licensed patent attorney, since 2002 as well as a member of the Israel Bar Association since 2009. Dr. Gordon joined Fisher IP Group in January 2019 as a Senior Patent Attorney, leading FIPG’s pharmaceutical practice. She has extensive experience in handling patent oppositions in Israel, in the areas of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, as well as in drafting freedom to operate and clearance opinions, with a special focus in the areas of pharmaceuticals, chemistry and biology.
Dr. Gordon’s practice also includes the areas of patent drafting, worldwide patent prosecution, patent strategy planning and portfolio management.
Dr. Gordon holds a B.Sc. in Life Sciences as well as an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Tel Aviv University. She received her L.L.B. from Kiryat Ono College. Prior to joining Fisher IP Group, Dr. Gordon was a partner at Pearl Cohen.
Dr. Jonathan Silman
Dr. Jonathan Silman is a licensed patent attorney (Israel Patent and Trademark Office), specializing in patent drafting and prosecution, infringement analysis, and patentability analysis.
Dr. Silman has B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from Tel-Aviv University. His Ph.D. research focused on topics in the Foundations of Quantum Theory. Following his Ph.D. studies, Dr. Silman spent 5 years as a postdoctoral researcher in the Quantum Information Laboratory at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB). Prior to joining the Fisher IP Group, Dr. Silman worked as a scientific advisor at Webb & Co. Patent Attorneys.
Head of Paralegal Department
Ms. Gershtein is an IP paralegal since 2007 and heads up FIPG’s paralegal department. Lena specializes in management of IP portfolios, docketing and filing of patent, design and trademark applications, with the Israel Patent and Trademark Office as well as with Patent Offices worldwide. She regularly interfaces with FIPG’s clients regarding their IP portfolios and provides updates, status reports and budget forecasts. Ms. Gershtein holds an Interdisciplinary BA in Social Sciences from Bar-Ilan University. Prior to joining Fisher IP Group, Ms. Gershtein worked as a paralegal at Reinhold Cohn, Patent Attorneys.
Ms. Shostak is an IP Paralegal since 2001. Prior to joining the Fisher IP Group team, Jenny worked as an IP Paralegal for several large Patent firms in Israel. Jenny handles IP filing and prosecution in Israel and worldwide. Ms. Shostak holds an LLB degree and is a member of the Israel Bar Association since 2019.
Ms. Stark is an IP paralegal since 2015. In addition to assisting in prosecution matters, she is in charge of conducting formalities review of applications and opinion letters prior to filing/submitting. Before joining Fisher IP Group, Ronnie worked as a patent paralegal at Webb & Co. Ms. Stark earned her BA in Far Eastern Studies and MA in International Affairs, both from Columbia University. In addition, she has paralegal certification from Florida International University. After making Aliyah, Ms. Stark was an editor of publications for a number of years at Tel Aviv University Sackler School of Medicine.
Marketing Communications and Accounting
Ms. Fisher joined Fisher IP Group in 2017. She serves as FIPG’s marketing communications manager and is in charge of accounting matters, working with Israeli and overseas clients and associates. Ms. Fisher holds a BA in Communications from the Sammy Ofer School of Communications of the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC). Prior to joining FIPG, Noam was a social media and content manager at Create, specializing in User Experience Design.
